Chibi Lark GB rod holder

The time has come and we are happy to introduce you to the sensational innovation from Japan: Chibi Lark GB Pro - the professional rod holder!
Made in Japan to the highest quality standards, this rod holder is specifically designed for inflatable boats and is a must have for any trolling angler. Suitable for hose diameters of 25-48 cm, characterized by excellent and, above all, user-friendly properties, this rod holder is proof of the exceptional nature of Japanese fishing equipment and stands out with the lightning-fast removal of the rod from the holder by releasing a trigger.
The Chibi Lark GB Pro rod holder consists of 3 parts. The first part is the PVC block that needs to be glued to the hull of the boat (you can use our mounting kit for this). This PVC block carries the second part, the shell of the rod holder, which is fixed with a special pin and thus secured rock-solid. The third part is the adapter that is attached to the rod blank.
Now it's getting interesting, because this adapter contains the ingenuity of the Japanese fishing market, is clicked into the rod holder and can be released from the holder within fractions of a second by simply pressing the trigger and is therefore immediately ready for use. You'll never miss a fish again and you're always ready to fight.
The adapter is 65g light. If this is not enough, we have adapters for those who want it even more extreme, which are even lighter (40g), but cannot hold larger rods and which are a bit more cumbersome to attach. You can find the Smart Support Adapter here.
In addition, the inclination of the rod holder can be continuously adjusted in order to achieve an optimal trolling position. In addition, the rod holder can be rotated 25° or 50° to the left or right.
Very often the holding devices are oversized and do not suit the European market and especially for fishing with the thinner rods used in freshwater fishing. The result is a wobbly and unfixed rod that moves back and forth in the holder. However, the innovation from Japan is also ideal for fine and light rods.
The sensation from Japan is suitable for rod blanks with a diameter of 12 - 37 mm. The scope of delivery also includes a 2 mm thick and 55 mm long anti-slip rubber, which can be used as a thickening for rods with a rod blank diameter of at least 10 mm.

    gluing instructions

In these instructions we will explain how you can use our Bengar Glue Kit to mount various accessories on your inflatable boat. The kit includes workshop glue, glue thinner, insulating tape and a brush. You will also need a hot air gun and a removable pen.

Step 1: Mark and mask off

First hold the part to be glued to the desired position on your inflatable boat and mark it with a water-soluble pen. Then tape the marked areas with the insulating tape. Make sure that the area to be glued is 0.3 - 0.5 cm larger than it actually is. Now clean and dry the surfaces to be glued. The areas marked with the pen must also be removed.

Step 2: Prepare and apply the glue

First, open the PVC assembly adhesive with a slotted screwdriver. If the adhesive becomes viscous, the enclosed thinner for the PVC assembly adhesive will help you to thin the adhesive. The adhesive mass should be thinned to such an extent that the adhesive can be applied evenly to the bonding surfaces. The glue evaporates quickly, so keep diluting it. Apply a first layer of glue to both surfaces with the brush. It is best to brush the brush from the inside to the outside so that the edges are also cleanly applied with the glue. Now let it harden for 15 to 20 minutes. The brush should always be stored in the glue or thinner to prevent the brush from hardening. Don't leave the glue or thinner lying around open. This must also be closed during short breaks. Next, apply a second coat of glue to both sides and immediately remove the electrical tape. Now let it dry for 5 minutes.

    Step 3: Heating and Gluing

Blow dry both areas with a heat gun on the hottest setting for about 30 seconds. Never leave in one place for too long, otherwise the material would burn. It is best to keep the hot air gun moving at all times. You can also heat it up with a hair dryer, but you should make sure that both areas are warm enough. If the bodies are contacted now, it sticks immediately. Therefore, make sure that glue has been applied to both sides. If only one side has glue on it, it won't stick at all. That's why we taped 0.3 - 0.5 cm larger at the beginning. After gluing, you should roll over the spot with a roller or a glass bottle to bond it firmly to the substrate. Air bubbles are avoided with a roller or bottle.

    Step 4: Drying phase

Now the areas should rest for a day or two so that the glue can harden. Leave the spot smooth and level. If the inflatable boat is rolled up, there is a risk that the glued accessories will harden in a kinked position.
